How to Play Baccarat On the Go

The objective of Baccarat is simple – the player must correctly predict whether their hand or Banker’s will win, or if the game will result in a tie.

The winning hand will be the hand that has a value of 9, or closest to 9. A hand can never have a value higher than 9, so in an instance where the hand has a double-digit value e.g. 13, only the right most number shall be used. In this case, the hand value is 3. The value is calculated by adding the two dealt cards together, and their sum will be the hand value.

Face cards (J, Q, and K) and 10s have no value (0), an Ace is worth 1, and the balance of the deck has the same value as their number.

At the end of a game, the dealer will reveal the cards and depending on the total of each, an additional card may or may not be drawn.

The Player hand will be dealt an additional card if the hand value is low, between 0 – 5, but if the players hand is high, 6 or more, the hand stands (receives no more cards).

The rules of the Bankers hand are more complicated, but can be summarised as follows:

1. If the Player hand has received no additional cards, the banker will draw on 5 or less, and stand on 6 or more
2. If the Player hand received a third card with a value of 2 or 3, the banker draws on 4 or less, and stand on 5 or more
3. If the Player hand received a third card with a value of 4 or 5, the banker draws on 5 or less, and stands on 6 or more
4. If the Player hand received a third card with a value of 6 or 7, the banker draws on 6 or less, and stands on 7 or more
5. If the Player hand received a third card with a value of 8, the banker draws on 2 or less, and stands on 3 or more
6. If the Player hand received a third card with a value of 9, 10, J, Q, K, the banker draws on 3 or less, and stands on 4 or more.
